The Worm gears have numerous advantages over traditional gears. For starters, they have the ability to change the angle of rotation by 90 degrees, which has a variety of applications and uses. Second, because rotating the second gear does not rotate the worm gear, worm gears serve as brakes for your robots. The outer diameter of this worm gear is 13 mm, and the central hole or Shaft is 6mm in diameter. The central hole has a set screw that allows it to be attached to various diameter motors and axles. It fits all of our 6mm axles perfectly.
