5.1V Zener Diode SOD123

Description

This Zener diode is another form of diode which comes in a Through-hole package. Zener diode will mostly be used in a protection circuit or in a crude voltage regulator circuit. Either way, it is very important to remember that a Zener diode should always be used along with a Zener resistor. The 5.1V Zener Diode has a nominal voltage of 5.1V and like other types of Zener diodes, it can be used as a reference element in voltage regulation, and it can also be used in switching applications and clipper circuits. Zener Diodes feature a Zener breakdown voltage range from 2V to 75V, a Zener current range from 0.045µA to 150.0µA, and a Zener dynamic impedance range from 10Ω to 255Ω. These devices offer high stability and high reliability, with a 250°C/W junction to ambient thermal resistance rating and a wide -65°C to +150°C operating temperature range.
