The LM311 devices are single high-speed voltage comparators. These devices are made to work with a variety of power supply voltages, including operational amplifiers at 15 volts and logic systems at 5 volts. The majority of TTL and MOS circuits are compatible with the output levels. These comparators have the ability to switch voltages up to 50 V at 50 mA while operating lamps or relays. It is possible to isolate each input and output from the system ground. The outputs can power loads with a ground, VCC+, or VCC reference. The outputs can be wire-OR coupled, and offset balancing and strobe functionality are both supported. No matter the differential input, the output is in the off state if the strobe is low.
